Home Up Sponsorship Opportunities Honoree Sponsors Donors

Friday, September 9th, 7:00 to 10:00pm at the Daniel W. Kissam House, 434 Park Avenue
It couldn’t have been better.  A warm summer night under the stars and a full moon.  Delicious food, wonderful beverages and an extraordinary selection of raffle and silent auction items.  We also enjoyed the companionship of like-minded friends who value the contributions of the Huntington Historical Society to the quality of life in their community.

Claudia Fortunato, the chairperson of the affair and our Director of Operations, welcomed everyone and thanked them for participating.  Toby Kissam, our Executive Coordinator, introduced our honorees and told of their many contributions to Huntington and the Historical Society.  Our president Carl Lawrence then paid tribute to the anniversary of 9.11 by having everyone stand and sing “God Bless America.”

This was followed by the presentation of a series of proclamations by various officials:

Huntington Town Clerk, Jo-Ann Raia
Huntington Town Board, Susan Berland and Glenda Jackson
NYS Assembly, Andrew Raia, Assemblyman
Suffolk Legislator, Jon Cooper, 18th District. Dr. W. Spencer
Village of Northport, George J.Doll Jr., Mayor
NYS Senate, John Flanagan, Senator
Suffolk Legislature, Lou D'Amaro Legislator, 17th District
Suffolk County Executive, Steve Levy

These officials were all thanking this year's honorees
The Family of Captain F. Rogers Ketcham
for their generosity to the community and the Historical Society
