What a delightful day. Twenty five youngsters
and their parents spend an interesting afternoon exploring the history and culture of our Native Americans.
They learn about their traditions, skills, food, clothing and got to view authentic
artifacts from our collections.
They make head bands (with feathers) make pots from clay, play games that our first citizens
played, and sample foods that the Native Americans ate. They also see a
lot of foods that would have been eaten long before the white man arrived.
